The Financial News newspaper says Blackrock has set up a working group to explore Bitcoin futures and the crypto space more broadly. Bitcoin is up nearly 4% -- or $250 -- to $6603 today after falling as low as $6018 on Friday.
Other cryptocurrencies followed the same path.
The report cites two unnamed sources who said that BlackRock has formed a team from different parts of the business to investigate cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
